Happy Half Term!

In our final week before the half term break the children have been reviewing the four sounds covered so far. They were shown a number of photographs and had to try and identify the initial sound and place it on the correct card.

After half term we will be covering the sounds t,i,n,p and g focusing on one sound a week.

Outside the children have been enjoying the sunshine.

Chinese New Year

This week we have been celebrating Chinese new year. At forest school the children have embraced the year of the pig by visiting the piglets. In the classroom the children have made lanterns and joined in with themed activities to mark the event. On Tuesday the children enjoyed a special lunch followed by a fortune cookie.

 

In Read Write Inc the children have been looking at the d sound. They used paper shapes to make their own dinosaur pictures and made dinosaur imprints in clay after looking at dinosaur fossils.
