Gardening

Today the children have been picking green beans which have been growing in the quad. They had lots of fun peeking between the leaves to spot the beans. There were lots of different shapes and sizes and we compared the lengths to find the longest and shortest. The children will be able to take the beans home to show to their family.

Yoga

The children love their yoga sessions in the creative suite. Each child is encouraged to take off their own shoes and socks (and put them on again afterwards!) and sit on a mat. Each session is based around a fun story which the children listen to whilst joining in with actions. They stretch, balance and move in a variety of ways. We are always amazed by how bendy they all are!

Friday fun in the sun

On Friday afternoon the Nursery and Pre School children headed outside to enjoy the September sunshine. They rolled down the grassy bank on the field before walking past the yurt and through the trees to look for butterflies. They stopped in the sandpit for a play before enjoying a picnic snack.

Washing the babies!

This week we are talking about how we grow. Today the children enjoyed a messy play activity washing the baby dolls. They used brushes, combs and sponges to scrub the dolls. The children used large pippettes to suck up bubbly water to squirt, strengthening their hand muscles. The bubbly fun was explored by lots of the children and now the dolls are lovely and clean!
