Autumn mark making

The children have been joining in with some autumn themed mark making.  The children were encouraged to use a tripod grip to hold their pen whilst drawing autumn themed images on a large piece of paper rolled out on the floor. There were some super conker, pumpkin and pine cone pictures. 

Fine motor skills

There has been lots of concentrating this week as the children joined in with a fine motor skills activity. After rolling the dice the children had to thread the matching amount of cereal hoops onto a piece of spaghetti pushed into an apple or a potato. Great care had to be taken when pressing the spaghetti into the apple. The children loved this game and many have selected to play with the resources afterwards making all sorts of different creations!

Farm shop

The children have been very busy in our new role play farm shop. There are real vegetables for them to weigh along with shopping lists and baskets. The water tray has some potatoes in which need to be scrubbed clean and the play trays are filled with autumnal items including conkers, pumpkins and seasonal squash.
