Welcome to Pre School

The new academic year has started and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Pre School. The Autumn term starts with a lovely 'getting to know you' topic called Family Fortunes. The topic provides lots of opportunities for the children to talk about their families, homes, pets as well as likes and dislikes and even what they want to be when they grow up! We will look at how we grow and the importance of healthy eating. We will also talk about our school and where we live. As the weather begins to cool we will move on to explore Autumn and the seasonal changes.

Later in the term we will be inviting you to join us for a morning at Forest School as we hold our Harvest in the Woods celebration. This is a lovely opportunity for the children to show you their Forest School and everything they have discovered so far. We will also be having a parents evening where you will be able to meet your child's keyworker and discuss the first half term. Please do not wait until parents evening if you have any questions or concerns. Please pop and see me or email me at Tamsin.Fleming@copthill.com.

This week the children have been exploring their new classroom and outdoor area. We have tried yoga, soft play and had PE in the hall. The children have started their Forest School sessions and have been exploring the woods and learning the boundaries.

Our blog will be updated regularly with photographs of all our activities so watch this space!
