Harvest

This week the children have been learning about harvest. In the classroom the children have enjoyed playing with real vegetables in the newly opened farm shop. They have been comparing the weights of the vegetables using the scales. 

The children have been handling lots of different autumnal objects. There was the opportunity to paint a picture of the different items. 

The play trays have been filled with conkers and pumpkin seeds to count and sort. 

  

We read the story The Enormous Turnip and used props and pictures to retell the story and make up our own versions.
